About the Palace Collections Museum
The Dolmabahce Palace was built by Sultan Abdulmecid and symbolizes the grandeur of the late Ottoman Empire. Located in the kitchen building of the palace, the "Palace Collections Museum" exhibits various objects of historical and cultural value and presents the Ottoman heritage to visitors.
The museum consists of three sections: Art Gallery, Museum, and Depot. Each section serves a different purpose and reflects the Ottoman period in a broad sense.
Art Gallery: Displays elegant examples of Ottoman art. Here, you can find works such as jewelry, paintings, and manuscripts.
Museum: Presents items from important structures such as Dolmabahce, Beylerbeyi, Topkapi, and Yildiz palaces, as well as Aynalikavak, Kucuksu, Ihlamur, and Maslak pavilions. In addition, products such as Yildiz Porcelain and Hereke Carpet are exhibited.
Depot: This is the section where valuable items that are not on display but need to be protected are stored. In the depot, preparations are made for future exhibitions, and the objects are preserved.
